Privacy Policy
Your Information, Left Alone
We might be in marketing, but we kinda hate marketing.
So we will not sell your information, share it for someone else’s gain, or fill your inbox. Here is the plain-language version, followed by the fine print.
Three promises
| 01 |
We do not sell it
Not your name, not your email, not your answers. Not now, not ever, not even for a really nice offer. |
| 02 |
We do not share it
No outside company gets your information to market to you with. Your details stay with us. |
| 03 |
We do not pester you
You get your report. After that, we give you your options, after that, we're quiet unless you write to us first. |
1. What we collect
When you fill out a form on this site, such as The Opening questionnaire or the contact form, we collect what you type into it. That usually means your name, email address, business details, your answers to our questions, and any message you write to us.
Like nearly every website, our web server and tools also pick up basic technical details when you visit, such as your browser type, device, approximate location from your IP address, and the pages you look at.
2. What we use it for
We use your information to do the thing you came for: put together and deliver your Opening report, reply to your messages, provide any service you ask about, and keep the website running and secure.
That is the whole list. We do not use it for anything that would surprise you.
3. The no-spam promise
The Opening is free. It requires no purchase, no card, and no strings. Submitting the questionnaire does not sign you up for a newsletter, a drip sequence, or a “just checking in!” campaign. You get your report, and we may follow up on that report or answer a question you asked.
If we ever send you anything beyond that, it will be because you asked for it, and you will be able to leave with one click.
You know the ones. The “we miss you” email from a company you bought one thing from in 2019. We will not be that company. We figure that if you liked what you saw, you will tell us, and that is plenty.
4. Who handles your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with third parties so they can market to you.
To run our business, we rely on a few service providers, such as our website host, form and email tools, spam protection on our forms, our payment processor, the reporting tools that help us prepare your dashboard, and software that helps us analyze and prepare your report, including AI-assisted tools. They handle information only on our behalf, to help us do our work, and not for their own marketing. A real person at Asthera reviews your report before it reaches you.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our clients, ourselves, or others.
5. Cookies and analytics
Like most websites, ours may use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to understand, in aggregate, how it is used. Our spam protection and the PayPal payment button may also set cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may work less smoothly.
We do not follow you around the internet, and we do not respond differently to “Do Not Track” signals because we are not tracking you across other sites.
6. Accounts and logins
The site has no public accounts, no registration, and no customer portal. If you hire us, we may give you a private page, protected by a password we send you, for your agreement and, if your engagement includes it, your reporting dashboard. Those pages are for you only. We do not use them to track you, and we do not share what is on them.
7. If you hire us
When you become a client, we receive more of your information, so here is how we handle it.
What we receive. Information you give us on our forms, and information we see in your business accounts to do the work, such as website analytics, advertising, social, email platform and sales data, or exports you send us.
How we get it. We ask for view-only access wherever the platform allows, and we do not change anything in your accounts. We never ask you to type a password into a form on this site. If a login has to be shared, we arrange it by phone or another secure way and keep it in an encrypted password vault.
What we do with it. Only the work you hired us for. We do not sell, rent or trade it, and we do not share it with anyone to market to you.
Where it lives. In Asthera’s private Google Drive and on Asthera computers, seen only by the team members working on your project.
How long we keep it. Working files and deliverables for [12 months] after delivery, then we delete them. Ask us and we will delete them sooner, except for records we must keep, such as your agreement and proof of payment.
If something goes wrong. If we learn your information was accessed without permission, we will tell you promptly.
8. Payments
Payments are processed by PayPal. You can pay with a card through PayPal, and we never see or store your card number. PayPal’s own privacy policy covers what it collects, and its button may set cookies. If you pay by bank transfer or check, we use those details only to record your payment.
9. How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep your information only as long as we reasonably need it to provide your report and services, to keep ordinary business records, and to meet legal obligations. If you would like it deleted sooner, ask and we will take care of it. Information we receive from clients for paid engagements is handled as described in “If you hire us” above.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website or system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take it seriously.
10. Your rights, including California residents
You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. California residents have specific rights under state privacy law, including the right to know, delete, and correct. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To make a request, email us at the address below. We may need to confirm it is really you before we act, which keeps someone else from deleting your stuff.
11. Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other sites
Our site links to other places, such as our social media accounts. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.
13. Disclaimer
The Opening report, and everything else on this site, is for general information. It is based on publicly available information and on what you tell us, and it reflects our professional judgment at the time. It is not legal, financial, or investment advice, and we cannot guarantee any particular business result.
Content on this site is the property of Asthera Creative Co. Please do not copy it without asking.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the bottom of this page. If the change is a big one, we will make it hard to miss.
15. Contact us
Questions, requests, or just want to say hi? Write to [email protected], call or text (916) 287-3999, or write to us at Asthera Creative Co., Sacramento, California. A real person will answer.
